You are right to take this seriously if you are hoping to progress to a long term relationship. Eventually this can become a much bigger issue Either because you end up with ever diminishing self esteem, or because he really does prefer a slimmer woman or someone with green eyes, and he ends up finding one. Nobody expects a man never to look at other women or make the odd comment, but this really sounds over the top.
