in the 1920's it was Jazz and Flappers, speakeasies, bootleg gin; the 1930's and '40's was Big Band music and Swing, the Jitter Bug and Zoot Suits were all the rage; the 1950's saw the beginning of Rock and Roll, Poodle skirts, white patent leather shoes; Folk music ushered in the '60's, then the Beatles began the British Invasion, long hair and some of the best music every written (which is why its still being played 40 years later. FYI - The Beatles's albums still sell at new release prices!)
