Have scary movies all been destroyed by hollywood?

I mean seriously.......where do i start, its just getting silly, in hopes of scary movies coming back, i went to go see my bloody valentine.............a movie about a scary miner........................miner??? seriously?? what next an evil pizza guy who es all over your toppings?? what has happened to the original i know what u did last summer the original birds, Even psycho (old version) any tales from the crypt episode was scarier that the last 3 scream movies,last 4 saw movies and anything george romero has done after Dawn of the dead (1975 and 2004).i am just devastated how the lines are blurred so much between scary movies and thrillers now but neither are scary or even thrillers anymore (resident evil 2 and 3).How do u feel??
